ABOUT US
We Are Tomorrow – Global Partnership (WAT-GP) is a youth-driven initiative committed to amplifying the influence of youth in climate policy-making under the Paris Agreement, thereby raising global climate ambitions through inclusive, intergenerational, and transnational action. We are trying to achieve this through various projects that we annually organize.
We have evolved into a structured, growing partnership that supports and strengthens youth-led climate organizations, especially those from the Global South and vulnerable communities. Our objective is to empower youth with the knowledge, skills, networks, and platforms they need to shape and drive climate justice at local, national, and global levels.
We believe in the power of youth-led advocacy as a transformative force in achieving just and inclusive climate solutions. Yet, we recognize the systemic barriers many youth organizations face — limited capacity, scarce funding, and lack of access to decision-making spaces. At WAT-GP, we are committed to addressing these barriers through tailored technical support, capacity building, and access to global advocacy spaces.
OUR MISSION
To support and strengthen youth-led climate organizations by facilitating knowledge exchange, building capacity, and creating advocacy opportunities that empower them to lead climate-just action at all levels.
OUR VISION
A world where youth particularly from the Global South and marginalized communities are recognized, resourced, and respected as essential leaders in climate action and policy-making.
OUR GOALS
Short-Term Goals:
Train youth-led organizations in climate diplomacy, intersectionality, human rights, and advocacy.
Support them in writing and publishing national climate agendas through inclusive youth dialogues.
Prepare partners to participate in key international climate summits with clear, strategic advocacy goals.
Long-Term Goals:
Strengthen youth-led climate networks that operate collaboratively across borders.
Build a global platform that connects youth to decision-makers and shapes inclusive climate policies.
Amplify youth leadership from the Global South in global climate processes.
Grow WAT-GP’s internal expertise in advocacy, communications, event management, and partnerships.
For Youth. For Justice. For Tomorrow.

HISTORY & ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Climate change and lack of climate justice are global issues that impact all social groups and involve both present and future generations. Because of this, we sought to create a united and coordinated climate youth movement across the global North and South. We wanted to build a platform that would unite young voices that advocate for a climate-just future, strengthen cross-border youth networks and create constructive national and international climate action plans.
Following the aforementioned idea, WAT-GP was first established as a working group of the Youth Climate Movement NL (Jonge Klimaatbeweging) in 2019. As of the 30th of August 2022, WAT-GP is registered in the Netherlands as an independent foundation in order to fulfill its purpose as an international collaboration of youth-led climate focussed organisations.
The partnership currently consists of 19 Network Member organisations from the following countries: Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, South-Korea, Switzerland, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Our Network Members are supported by various teams consisting of the WAT-GP Secretariat, Advocacy team, Training & Resources team, and the Communication team. WAT-GP internal team members contribute on a voluntary basis for 8-12 working hours per week. Meet the team via the button below!
